Optic Fire Warning System
2004-06-13 15:08

Recently Harbin Engineering University made  the debut of the distributive optic fire warning system that is sensitive to the rising environmental temperature when the fire is burning within the structures and able to automatically confirm the occurrence of fires and the related location.

Made of a number of optic sensor components, the mono — cored optic cable, the optic measuring system and the computer signal identifier and processor, the new system can be widely installed in building structures to accurately detect the possible fires in each room of the structures or even the fire at a specific place in the room with an accuracy of 5 meters. Its manufacturing cost is also lower than that of conventional fire detecting systems.
